Plush Rugs Review

When the people at Plush Rugs reached out to me to do a review I was so excited.  I've been playing a bit of musical rugs around here lately which left me with a partially blank dining room floor.  I still had my cowhide rug in there, but I moved the sisal rug to the living room.  I knew for a while the rug in our living room was really too small and after I read Emily's post about the lily pad effect I knew it had to go.

I knew I wanted something to go in the dining room.  I'm a huge fan of jute rugs because they add so much texture and they are so versatile.  I'm sure you've noticed I like to change things up around here, so I didn't want to be tied down by a rug especially when they can be expensive to replace.  I spent a long time perusing their huge selection of rugs, from jute rugs to wool rugs to silk rugs, and debating on which one to choose.  They have so many great choices!

Here are some of my favorites

When I came across this herringbone jute rug by Kaleen rugs, I knew it was "the one."  I thought it was really unique and was really drawn to the subtle herringbone pattern.  I also knew that the colors would tie in perfectly with my new light.

It arrived very quickly and was very well packaged.  I couldn't wait for my hubby to get home, so I drug it in by myself so I could sneak a peek at it.  I knew from the first look that it was going to be perfect.  If you follow me on instagram (dwellingsbydevore) you already saw this picture of me trying to figure out how to get it in the door!

I honestly was expecting something similar to the jute rug we currently have, but this one is so much better.  I normally wouldn't think of jute as being plush or soft, but this rug is so soft even when you walk on it with bare feet!  I was really impressed with that because good design has to be comfortable and functional too.  I see us having this rug for years to come!

You can really see the herringbone pattern in this picture and the great texture.

I really like the clean look of the rug without the cowhide, but I decided to add it back in for now.  I like the warmth of it and I honestly have nowhere else to put it! :)

*Disclosure: I was provided a rug to review from plushrugs.com.  All opinions are 100% mine.

I love the texture of this! Will definitely be keeping this in mind for our new house. Love hearing that it's soft underfoot too!

So pretty, and I love the hide layered on. Plus, the hide is much easier to clean a spill off of than the jute since it's under your table! I'm looking for a hide to layer over my jute rug in the breakfast room. Love the look!

Looks absolutely amazing! Not to mention practicality, as rug cleaning is usually quite difficult, but jute rugs and cow hides are one of the easiest rug to clean. And visually they are stunning together!

I ordered a rug three weeks ago.

I waited a week, no news.

it took 5 e-mails to discover that the rug is out of stock for four months.

I am now three weeks into trying to get them to refund my money, which they keep saying they will do, but they have not done.

terrible customer service. there are 10 other rug stores with the same goods, use one of them.
