Yet another light...

You all are probably getting tired of all my light makeovers, I don't know what it is I just have a thing for lights. Anyways, I was just getting tired of the light in our office. It's been there for a while, well maybe only a year but that's a while for me :) and I only spent a couple dollars on it so I didn't feel so bad about trading it out. I'm sure I'll find another way to repurpose it. I ran across this lovely lamp for $1.99 at the Goodwill and I just loved the shape and style of it. So, I got out my trusty white spraypaint and turned it into something new. The lampshade was also a Goodwill find, for $2.99. So for about $5, I have a lovely new lamp for our office. I'm always amazed at what a difference a little spraypaint makes!

It is amazing what a coat of white paint will do! I would never look twice at the lamp in that Orange colour but the end result in white, I like a lot! Well done! xx

seriously, what's your secret to finding such cheap finds in the thrift store? I scour them, and did just find one I'm going to spray paint, but it's not my favorite - but got it for $3.50. Most of them, even the old "ugly" ones that I could fix up with a new shade, paint, etc are around $25 at goodwill!!! I need to know the secret!

Thank you! The drapery fabric was actually on the remnants table at Hancock Fabrics for 50% off! I was super excited to find it. Here's the link to my full post about them if you are intersted

Rebekah, I wish I could tell you there was a secret. I just check them frequently (about three times a week) and I know certain ones are better than others. There's a couple different locations near me and I know some have much better prices than others, I guess it just depends on who does the pricing. Usually the things I'm drawn to need some definite TLC so that probably helps with the prices too. Hope you find some great deals soon!
