I'm dreaming of a flocked Christmas

Sorry for the silence over here, we had some computer issues and just got our computer back.  I have always loved the look of flocked Christmas trees.  My parents have this Christmas book (that they put out every year) with all different Christmas pictures in it and one particular part of the book has a huge flocked Christmas tree with pictures of the people flocking it.  As a kid, I always looked forward to pulling that book out every year and looking at that particular part.  I don't know why it fascinated me so much but it was so neat to me.  Ever since then I have loved flocked Christmas trees.  We have a fake Christmas tree because it's easy and cost efficient, but one year I will have a real, flocked Christmas tree!  Random fact I found via martha stewart, in the early 19th century people used to moisten Christmas trees and cover them with flour for that snowy look, interesting huh?

Here's some inspiring images of flocked Christmas trees done right.

Have you ever had a flocked tree?  I broke the rule this year and put up all our Christmas decorations about a week ago.  I just couldn't want this year and wanted to everything up before family came to visit for Thanksgiving, pictures to come!

So pretty! I'm becoming more and more convinced that I need to have a second tree in our house so that I can decorate it based upon my whim of the season. :-)

Oh how kind! I love that tree too, in fact I'm addicted to flocked trees! I blame my California location, here we really do have to dream of a white Christmas! Thanks so much for the shout out, merry merry!

I have a question I noticed you have a toddler at home how do you keep her away from the christmas decor, need huge help as I'm thinking about not decorating because of that, also I love your blog. I just moved to an apartment and am stocking up on ideas to decorate, thanks a lot for sharing your awesome taste with the world!

We have a slightly flocked tree (just on the edges) and I LOVE it. I'm a huge fan of the flocked look!

@Fashion Hipster So far my daughter hasn't seemed to interested in the tree, fingers crossed it stays that way, but I do have a few ideas in case she does start to mess with it. I'll work on a post with some ideas :)

We got a flocked tree from Pikes Nursery Center last year and fulfilled my dream of having a flocked tree. It was GORGEOUS and made everyone smile when they saw it. (There are a lot of people that have "thought" about it)

One great bonus - Flocking acts as a preservative, the tree doesn't dry out. So it's the perfect way to get a real tree, but not have to worry about it drying out. A win-win!

I have 5 trees in my house every year. I guess it's time to get a flocked tree ;)
