Sit and Stay a While

I love these chairs.  They would make me want to sit and stay a while.  I found them at Goodwill for $10 each and there were 4 of them.  I didn't even think twice before grabbing the tag and taking it to the front.  They were definitely in pretty shabby shape with a very awful reupholstery job, but I knew they could be great with a little paint and some new fabric.

I really liked the way the black paint looked so I just freshened them up with some satin black spray paint.  I purchased this fabric from Hancock's Fabrics.  I was drawn to it because it had a nice texture and looked very rich and classy to me.  I thought it would go nicely with the lines of the chairs.  I had these all done and ready to go to our booth when my mom told me she wanted to buy them from me.  She told me she wanted to have a "dwellings by DeVore original" (she's the greatest)  So off to her house they went.  Here are some of the afters....

The chairs are a great find! You are a good daughter to let your mom have them. The fabric really makes the chairs.
