Home Office

I've done several posts about projects in our office, but I realized the other day that I haven't done an actual post with the whole office and all of those projects pulled together in one place.  So today I'm doing just that!  Although I end up using my laptop and traveling around the house most of the time, I do still use this space from time and time.  And as a DIYer, I love having a place to keep all my supplies organized.

For the desk, I painted these laminate filing cabinets and added a basic desk top from IKEA.  I'm really happy with how well the bases have held up.  They have had a few chips here and there, but overall they've been great!

My IKEA VITTSJO shelves are great for keeping me organized.  Click here to see how I gave them a quick makeover.

I found vase a few weeks ago during a big sale for under $5 and it's one of my new favorites.  The opening is just the right size so you don't have to fill it with a ton of greenery and still get a full look.

And this laminator is my favorite!  I don't know why it makes me happy to laminate things, but there's something about it that is so gratifying.

I love using my kids' artwork on this fabric memo board so I can see it while I'm working.  I also use it for different work related things.

And these succulent pens are one of my favorite DIYs.  They would be great for teacher gifts too!

This green box is from our honeymoon.  For the longest time I wasn't sure where to put it, but I love how it plays off the green hutch on the other side of the room.

I printed some labels for my boxes to help keep things organized.

I added some greek key trim to some basic white curtains to add some interest without committing to a full pattern.  You can find the DIY here.

These botanical prints are actually free printables.  You can find the info for them here.

One of my favorite details of this room is the DIY lucite curtain rod.  I used this tutorial.

My DIY sputnik chandelier adds a little fun to the room.

My bamboo hutch was a lucky Craigslist find and it's one of my favorites.

Wallpaper - I purchased it at Lowe's, but unfortunately the company who made it went out of business right after I bought it and they no longer sell it.
