Valentine's day isn't a holiday that most people, including myself, typically decorate for.  But I felt inspired the other day while I was in my daughter's room looking at her DIY heart banner.  So I just went with it.
I made a few simple tweaks to our existing mantle and now it's festive and fun without being over the top.
I made some super simple DIY artwork to add to the theme.  I used this gold paint pen to write the word love on some black poster board.
Then I cut a gold glittery heart out of cardstock and popped it in a shadowbox frame.
Can you believe January is already coming to an end?  Valentine's day will be here before we know it!

love the artwork and the color palette you chose! that paint pen looks amazing...did you buy it at a craft store?
i just love this take on it- perfecto!
Love your take on Valentine's decor and great styling, Bethany!!
I used to decorate for little holidays so much more before blogging. Now I feel like everything has to be photo ready without a theme...so silly :) I think I might make a little banner now, you have inspired me!
I love your version of Valentine's decor! This is way more up my alley than red and pink. It's perfect!
