No Sew Skirted Table

I'm all about some extra storage.  I try to make the most of any unused space in my house.  So, I thought it would be great to turn this sewing table into a skirted sewing table.

So, here is what it looked like before it's makeover.

I started by measuring and cutting some fabric I got from Garden Ridge for $1.99.

Then, I used some hem tape to finish my seams.

Then, I added some white ribbon for a little more detail.  I ironed that on too using the same hem tape.

Then, I just stapled it to the sewing table on the underside.

and ta da!

I'm thinking about adding some hardware or some sort of decorative piece in that blank white space and possibly some nailhead trim...one day...

Check out that funky lamp I got at Goodwill for $6.99!  I'm not sure if that will be it's permanent home yet, but I sure do like it.
