Not Your Mama's Banana Pudding

I love a good, easy recipe and I'm hoping some of you do too.  This is incredibly simple to make and so delicious!  I made this for a recent get together and everyone commented on how "fancy" it looked.  I think the chessman cookies class it up a bit.  I made mine as low fat as possible for any of you who are concerned about that sort of thing and it was still very good!  Substitutions I made: sugar free pudding, fat free cool whip, low fat cream cheese, and fat free sweetened condensed milk.  I've made it both ways and it's good either way you decide to do it.

Ingredients

2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies

Directions

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
