A little birdie told me...

I have been wanting to put a narrow side table underneath this mirror behind our front door for the longest time. It looked fine the way it was but to me it just seemed like it was missing something. I searched high and low trying to find one, but couldn't find one narrow enough.  (It had to be narrow so the closet door beside it would still be able to open) So, when you can't find what you need, you make it!

I found this little guy at the Goodwill and for some reason I was just drawn to it. I don't know why, maybe it was just kind of ecclectic and different? Anyways, the wheels started turning and I decided to make a shelf instead of a table for that space. I found the board at Lowe's and just screwed the two pieces together, added some primer and white spraypaint and now it totally changes the way that area looks.

I kind of wish they had two of them so I could have done one on each end, but they may have been too much.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out, it looks kind of z-galleryish to me.
