Gilt Candle Review

I was so excited when the people at Gilt Candles contacted me about doing a review of one of their candles.  I pretty much always have a candle lit any time we are home.  I just love them, so I was excited to get to try something new.  The really neat thing about these candles is that there's a surprise gift inside.  After you burn the candle for about 30 minutes, a foil packet that includes a ring appears.  More on that in a minute.

I chose the Almond Biscotti scent because it seemed like it work well with this time of year.  The scent is subtle and not overpowering.  When I walked by it burning, it smelled like something was baking in the oven.

After I burned it for about 15 minutes I started to see the red foil appear.

I pulled it out gently with some tweezers and let it cool.

Once it was cool I opened it to reveal my ring.  The rings range in value from $15-$5,000 plus.  Each ring has a small tag attached.  You just visit their website to enter the code and find out how much your ring is worth.

Here's the ring I received.  I was secretly hoping the $5,000 + ring (who wouldn't be?), but this one is nice too.

I think these would make really nice hostess gifts with the holidays coming up.  It's like a present inside a present and such a unique concept.  They're also great gifts for the people who you don't know what to get.  Gilt Candles is generously offering all my readers a 20 percent discount, just enter the code "dwellings20" at checkout!
