Sorry for the silence over here this week. My husband and I, along with a few other family members, started whole 30 a few weeks ago and I feel like my focus has been on that. If you're not familiar with whole 30 it's an eating plan for 30 days that focuses on whole foods, no grains, no dairy, no sugar. I will probably do an update on how it's going in case any of you are interested. I have done a few projects, just need to take some pictures!
Since I'm lacking in pictures of my projects, I thought I'd share some of my favorite finds from Craigslist lately. I don't have room for any of these in my own home, but they all have great potential. If you happen to be local (Charlotte) then maybe they will find a spot in your home! The links for each are below the pictures.
I have always loved the look of a spindle bed. There's just so much great detail. I think this would be perfect for a child's room! If we didn't already have a twin size bed I would have to jump on this one.
Would be pretty cool reupholstered.
If you can look past the bright blue walls, that lion picture, and the rug, you'll see the bedroom set actually has a lot of potential. It would be pretty repainted pretty much any color. Not a bad price for a whole bedroom set.
I think these would be great for a banquette type look in a dining room. You could go more rustic with a stained finish or more contemporary with a glossy white finish and new cushion. Not a bad price for solid wood!
I think a glider is one of the best investments when it comes to having kids. We have used ours every day, multiple times a day, for the past two years. I can't imagine not having one. They can get a little pricey though. One thing I wish I had done was to get a vintage glider like this one and have it recovered. By the time you pay for fabric and reupholstery it still comes out about the same as one you would buy, but you get to customize it. Or if you have the guts to do it yourself it would be a great deal! I also really like the unique shape of this one.
and I've always loved the shape of Bentwood rockers. They have such charm and character.
Do you shop craigslist? It seems like it's hit or miss to me, but usually if I wait it out I can find what I'm looking for. Of course there are always some people with outrageous prices, but I guess that's just the way it goes.
