Sorry for the silence over here this week, we just got back from a wonderful week at the beach with my husband's family. It was my daughter's first trip to the beach and she loved it. I've heard some other little ones aren't too fond of it so I was pleasantly surprised that she enjoyed it so much. In fact, as soon as we put her down she ran fearlessly towards the water. Here's a little iphone recap of our trip. I'll be back next week with some design related projects.
and last but not least our Pinterest inspired shower curtain liner pool, a little redneck? Maybe, but she loved it and it bought me a few minutes to actually sit down and relax. Can't beat it for a few dollars. I did at least choose the cream color to coordinate with the sand, must be the designer in me ;)
On a sad note, I closed my booth today that I've had for a few years. It's been fun but I'm choosing to channel my energy in other directions. As we were wheeling the cart to the car I turned my back for one second to make sure my daughter didn't try to go down the stairs by herself and I that's when I saw it. The cart started rolling towards the edge of the platform and before I knew it the whole thing had flipped over the edge and everything went everywhere. Glass was shattered, stuff was broken, but thankfully no one was hurt. Sometimes you just have to laugh. I actually thought about taking a picture of it because it was kind of unbelievable the way it happened. I went to reach for my phone and guess where it was? Yep, at the bottom of the pile. The back is completely crushed, but surprisingly it still works (even the camera!) and the front is totally fine. I guess I know how to go out with a bang! ;)
