I feel like every room needs inspiration. Sometimes I have no idea what I'm going to do in a room and then I find that one thing that pulls it all together. It can either be a focal point or something that pulls all the colors together. In this case, it's a shower curtain. My parents moved into a new home over the weekend and I am so thrilled for them. The house is brand new so it's basically a blank canvas. My mom has given me pretty much free reign to help her decorate the whole house. We will be working with a lot of pieces they already have and finding new items along the way to turn this into their dream home. The budget is small so we will be gathering things we find on sale or making over thrifted items (my mom is a great DIYer).
I saw this shower curtain on sale at Urban Outfitters and had a feeling it was something my mom would love. She loves green and she loves things with an old fashioned feel. This feels very anthro to me. Sure enough, as soon as I showed it to her she was smitten. So, this is the inspiration for one of their guest bathrooms.
I also found some oops paint for $5 a gallon at Lowe's that's the perfect shade of gray to pull it all together.
I'm thinking these knobs from Hobby Lobby would be great in there too.
I'll be sure to share our progress along the way, can't wait to get started!
