Antiques show

This past weekend a friend of mine and I spent Saturday morning purusing a local antiques and collectables show.  We ended up only making it about a quarter of the way through because this place was HUGE.  I hope to go back to finish shopping for more treasures soon.  Some of the stuff was a little pricey and too
antique-y for me, but there were a few things that caught my eye.

loved the feel of this booth and those chairs are just beautiful...

I also really liked this pillow.  I may just have to try to DIY it soon!

These lamps caught my eye.  I think they would be perfect in a cottage beach house or even in a more modern home.  So versatile and SO cool.  I am putting my radar out for vintage glass water bottles.

You can't tell so much from the pictures but these puppies were huge, which is part of what made them so cool.  I guess someone else liked them as much as I did because they were sold.

$299 for a great little tufted ottoman, not a bad deal and I love the scripted fabric

Some mirrored trays that would be pretty easy to DIY....

and a funky little chair that I just loved.  I think it could add just the perfect amount of glamour/eclecticness (that's probably not a word, but you know what I mean) to a room.

I wish I had taken some more pictures, but I guess I was distracted by all the pretty things.  I did manage to purchase some old vintage jewelry that I'm planning on turning into some anthro inspired necklaces (will post when I get those done) and a cute little teacup and saucer for our tea parties.  A few other things that caught my eye but didn't make the cut, were some authentic antlers aged to perfection in the prettiest shade of gray, a pale pink mason jar (never seen one of those before) and some awesome botanical plates.  I wish I had taken some pictures of these things, but just take my word for it they were awesome. :)

OMG I was out and about looking for those exact lamps or atleast a oversized jug to make a lamp myself... I expressed my love for the $500 Anthropologie lamp in this post http://decoriadore.blogspot.com/2011/03/crush-found-decanter-lamp.html

I visited some area Antique Malls this weekend and NO LUCK! I wonder how much those sold for?..

i bought a big glass jug similar to the ones in the photo at an orchard for $1 - might be a good a good place to score some for the lamps.

What a great store. I love finding places like that. Even if it's not my style, I can totally appreciate some of the things.

So funny! I was there too and just posted about it today! I have the same booth with the parchment fabric on my blog too! Loved that ottoman!

My husband uses those big glass jugs to brew beer. They are called Glass Carboys and can be found at just about any wine making/beer shop. They are sell for about $40, but if you research home brewing glass carboys, you will be surprised at how many different prices and varieties of glass jugs you will find.
