I'm wrapping up our backyard makeover. I mentioned in a previous post that I'm trying to bring the indoors out and make it more like an outdoor living space. So, I found this great dresser at Goodwill. I was drawn to the chunky drawer pulls. I knew it would make a perfect buffet table for our backyard. Keep in mind, I like the weathered, worn look. I know with it being outdoors in the elements it will get a little more weathered and I'm ok with that. I did seal it with several coats of polyurethane. Another thing you may want to consider if you do this is to buy a piece that is solid wood, no veneer. The veneer will warp and look awful in no time.

and AFTER! I used a teal-blue paint, did some distressing, and then went over the whole thing with a dark stain to give it that aged look.
