Reinvented Cabinet Door

On a recent outing to the thrift store, I came across this cabinet door.  I had no idea what I was going to do with it but it was only $0.50 and I knew I would think of something.  After some deliberation, I decided to turn it into a chalkboard for our kitchen.  To do this project at home all you will need is a cabinet door, some chalkboard spraypaint (I used the Rustoleum chalkboard spray paint from Home Depot), and some extra paint in another color to paint out the border if you want to.  I think it would be cool to use another color for the border but white was all I had on hand.

Here is what it looked like before...

 and after...

So, for about $5 you have a fun craft project that you can do in an afternoon.  I think this would make a great gift too!
